Functional laminates 
Functional laminates are two or three materials which are connected by means of an adhesive. One of the layers can be a membrane. The membrane makes the material wind- and waterproof. It nevertheless allows moisture to move from the inside to the outside, so it is breathable. Laminates can also be materials that are stuck together without a membrane. These kinds of laminate benefit from the varying characteristics of the two materials.
