Nino Schurter completes his #HuntForGlory

Nino had a great start to his race last week. After a few technical difficulties in the first round of the race, it soon became a two-man battle between Jaroslav Kulhavy (Czech) and Nino. They were leading the race from the 2nd round.

With an unbelievable determination, with his fitness levels being tested, Nino was pushing himself to his limits by the penultimate round and gained distance between him and Jaroslav. He held his cool, and it was simply a matter of avoiding any trouble and making smart decisions on the course in order to allow him to bring home the well-deserved gold medal.

This medal makes Nino's collection complete, after winning Silver in London (2012) and Bronze in Peking (2008). "The perfect fairytale" he said after his race. This victory is a reward for many years of hard work. After London, Nino's was striving for a gold medal.
