The Engadin Skimarathon is one of the most famous cross-country events in Europe. It attracts not only thousands of amateurs each year, but also the world's elite, such as our ambassador and Olympic champion Dario Cologna.
DARIO COLOGNA PARTICIPATES IN THE ENGADIN SKIMARATHON
On the 9th of January Dario Cologna had to give up the race in Val di Fiemme because of a calf strain. Fortunately, the calf strain has gone but the Swiss star was forced to miss the Canada Tour as he continues to regain full fitness.
Dario had to set new targets for the ongoing season and has now decided to participate in the Engadin Skimarathon.
As preparation Dario will race the Gommerlauf (SUI) as well as the 90 km long Vasaloppet in Sweden. The end of his season will be the Swiss Championship in Zweisimmen (SUI) on the 18th of March.
Dario's participation at those races is a big enhancement for the other cross country skiers, as well as for the organisers.
