Last week-end in Val d'Isère, one of the most famous and legendary ski resorts in the world, took place the first edition of High Trail Vanoise® by Odlo, a unique race for well prepared and fit mountain trail runners.
The High Trail Vanoise® by Odlo takes place over 3 days, including 5 challenging races of varying levels, allowing the participants to experience the impressive and magical high mountain sceneries of Tarentaise and Maurienne.
On Sunday 10th, the fittest long distance runners started at 4 AM in the pre-dawn darkness of morning to race in one of the toughest stages of the « Skyrunner® World Series ». The 40-mile-long race (67km) culminates at the Grande Motte glacier in Tignes (3,653 meters high).
Qualifying race for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®, top trailers were participating to this fabulous race.
Among them, Anne-Lise Rousset, member of the TEAM OXSITIS-ODLO, performed outstandingly, ranking at 1st place for Women and 6st at scratch.
"The most difficult race of my little experience as a trailer! A breathtaking circuit (especially at the top of the Grande Motte glacier), dizzying, wild, technical ... a clever cocktail of all the mountain wonders"
Big congrats to our Champion Anne-Lise that already illustrated at TRANSVULCANIA in La Palma – Canary Islands last May, winning the 2d place.
Next big steps for Anne-Lise are the Skyrunner® World Series in Colorado in September and World Championships end of October in Portugal.
